The Stanley Cup

Here we are with the Stanley Cup in 2003, at Seven Springs. They had a hockey Hall of Fame display there as part of Autumn Fest that year.

I heard a story about it this morning on the news that said the Stanley Cup makes it travels about 320 days a year. Some other notable facts about it: it weighs 35 pounds, every player on the winning team gets their name on it, each player gets it for 24 hours, it was won a record 11 times by one of the Richard brothers, and last it is able to hold 14 bottles of beer.

I was fortunate to touch the Stanley Cup and have my picture with it 3 times now. There is a rule about touching it before you win it is a jinx. I don't have to worry about that, I will never win it.
