Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury apparently will be sidelined until at least next week by an undisclosed injury.
Coach Michel Therrien said this afternoon that he "will be surprised" if Fleury, who did not accompany the Penguins here for their game against the Thrashers tonight, is able to play when they face Vancouver Saturday afternoon at Mellon Arena.
Fleury was hurt during the third period of the Penguins' 5-2 victory against Buffalo last Saturday at Mellon Arena. Although team officials have declined to discuss the nature of Fleury's injury, he appeared to hurt his leg while making a save.
Dany Sabourin will be in goal against Atlanta, his second consecutive start. He is being backed up by John Curry, who was recalled from the Penguins' farm team in Wilkes-Barre earlier this week.
After facing the Canucks Saturday, the Penguins will be off until they visit the New York Islanders Wednesday.
